SAT and ACT Test-Preparation

In English test-prep, we engage with practical test-taking strategies along with baseline concepts of English. Once we have this solid foundation, we build on that knowledge, session by session.

Academic progression is about working through uncertainties to fuel meaningful successes, an illuminating path for all learners. With individually-tailored tools at hand, we can set attainable goals to reach for with confidence.

What we learn in test-prep is applicable to English Language Arts (ELA) studies. Therefore, by preparing for the SAT/ACT, your reading, writing, and classroom skills can improve too. Win-win!

*Sessions are held via Zoom. If in-person is preferred, I have a home office in Chappaqua.

Rates

Private Sessions: $220 + a one time materials fee

*30 minute/45 minute sessions are available, prorated

The Process:

1) Consultation: A parent/guardian and I will have a 15 minute phone call to discuss the student’s goals and schedule

2) Tutoring Sessions: Following a Diagnostic Exam (SAT/ACT or both) to get a baseline and/or determine with test is best, we will meet weekly to learn new concepts and review homework, following a curriculum tailored to the learning style of the student. I am passionate about meeting each learner where they are at!

3) Recaps: Within 48 hours of each session, both student and parent will receive an email recap with notes on what was covered in session, along with a homework assignment.
